Call of Juarez: The Cartel popup "Steam needs to be running in order to play the game"
Well I am having a particular issue with this particular game Call of Juarez: The Cartel. Well whenever I am trying to play this particular game on the computer of mine. but it is prompting with an error message which can be stated that ‘Steam needs to be running in order to play the game’ Let me know if you are having any speculation on this particular matter. To figure out the root cause of the issue you have to furnish following details over here.
Which operating system do you have installed?
What is the hardware configuration of the computer?
Do you have done any changes on the computer?
Can you post the log file of the issue which you are getting on the computer of yours?
Which version of the Steam do you have installed on the computer?

Well looking at the problem which you mentioned over here I am suggesting that you should simply run the game through steam. You have to add the game into My Games tab of the steam.

In this particular situation I am suspecting that there could be an issue with the security software which you have installed on the computer. so you should disable the Firewall as well as security software which you have installed on the computer of yours and see whether it is working or not. if the issue is resolved than you should simply configure the firewall as security software on the computer to fix the matter of yours.

Well I think you need to reinstall the Steam on the computer . if reinstalling of the Steam is not working than you should update the Steam on the computer of yours. you can get the latest version of the Steam from the official website.

All we know that the video games are supposed to have the bug issue so I am suspecting this particular game is having bug issue. So I recommend that you should contact the developer of the game and file a bug issue to them. The developer of the will work on the same and release the patch which you can apply to fix the issue which you are getting.
