>> Thursday, June 2, 2011

Atlas Travel International will soon offer its business travel clients a smartphone-based itinerary and productivity application through an agreement with Concur, a technology provider whose on-demand services help companies increase efficiency and manage employee spend. Concur announced the agreement at the 2010 National Business Travel Association (NBTA) Convention in Houston. This is the first time Atlas has offered services that can be received via smartphones.

With this technology Atlas clients will be able to:

Access their itineraries via their smartphones.
Access dining and shopping information through a mobile application integrated with Concur's software.
Maintain compliance with travel policies by ensuring mobile transactions stay within company managed travel services.

Atlas will provide Concur with itinerary data that Concur will use in its travel management solution, which is available for most commercially available smartphones. The distribution agreement with Concur is in keeping with Atlas' history of seeking out cutting-edge technology to help business travelers maintain compliance with corporate travel programs and manage travel spend.

"Our partnership with Concur seemed like a natural extension of our drive towards the use of the most modern and efficient technology on the market," said Elaine Osgood, Atlas Travel International's president and CEO. "Since we live in a mobile world, being able to deliver this kind of service to our business travelers is important. Concur's platform offers services that our customers will find helps their business travel experience tremendously."
