IE9 download reaches over 2 million in 2 days

The new version of Internet Explorer generates curiosity with over 2 million downloads recorded on the first two days of launch of the beta.

Just last week, Microsoft posted the beta version of Internet Explorer 9. Microsoft has, apparently, largely succeeded in generating a certain expectation as evidenced by two million downloads after two days of online.

It has rather a good performance, since the beta version of IE8 had registered 1.3 million downloads after five days. The performance is even more amplified if it is emphasized that IE9 deprives itself of many users still Windows XP.

Other figures provided by Microsoft, 9,000,000 visits and over 26 million page views for the site Beauty of the Web where nearly 70 partners highlight the work done to deliver Web experiences leveraging IE9.

If there is a point that has impressed IE9 that is without doubt the hardware acceleration (GPU) used at several levels. For the rest, it is essentially a better web standards compliance, a faster JavaScript engine, or support of HTML5 catchy. The user interface is a surprise because of its clean side, but eventually learn that Microsoft has Google Chrome except that the interaction with the taskbar in Windows 7 may be convenient.
