Accessibility through proxy server slow
HI. Well I have a desktop system through with an internet connection enabled in it. The problem is with the proxy. I have setup a proxy server in order to access some sites and to play games but am not able to access it at a faster rate. What could be the problem? Is it related to my web browser. I use Internet explorer 7. Please help. Thank you.

The problem that you are not able to access sites through proxy server at a faster rate is due to the improper configuration of proxy setup. You need to check out the settings in order to look for the betterment of the speed of your accessibility to internet. Just reconfigure the proxy settings by formatting or resetting the previous one and then re enter the settings again.

It is basically the proxy due to which you are not able access the internet at a faster rate. The proxy setup in comparison with the normal internet is very much differentiated. At first the setup was your browser with the internet. But after the proxy came into picture it is as your browser with the proxy and then to the internet. This slows up the process as the acknowledgment is received at a slower rate than that of direct communication.

It might be the browser that you ain't able to access the speed to the optimum level. Sometimes it is possible that you are not able to access internet at a good speed because the browser would not be supporting the connection very well. The browser might have some issues like bulk load of applications been installed or the cookies not been deleted. Delete the cookies or remove all the temporary internet files from system. This will help in speeding up your connection.

There is a possibility that your connection might be getting lost or the not receiving the proper bandwidth. This happens when the settings been modified or got changed accidentally. You can make the changes by refreshing the settings by double clicking on the local area connection icon and clicking on repair by going to support option. Then restart the system.

You can manually configure the internet settings by following the necessary steps.

1) Go to the start and click on control panel.
2) Click on the option of network connection
3) After the window opens single click on the TCP/IP option.
4) Click on properties.
5) Reset the address settings and then reenter the settings again.

You may now save the settings and then restart the system. Hope this might work for you.
