Firefox won't save settings
Firefox doesn't saves my settings anymore, it gets reset on every next restart , it doesn't saves my bookmarks also. Whats wrong with firefox now? I have a final version of firefox 3.5 something. I need quick help, because i can't resist to make bookmarks again and again. And i have habit of firefox now so it will be harder to manage with some other browser. Thanks for any help.

Re: Firefox won't save settings
If you have a backup copy of the localstore.rdf file from a working Firefox profile, a quick remedy is closing Firefox and overwriting the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder with your backup copy. If you have no backup, you need to remove the localstore.rdf file and let Firefox generate a new copy. Your toolbar customizations will be gone when you next restart Firefox but future changes will be retained.

Re: Firefox won't save settings
Are you using the default profile? Make a new profile.
Navigate to the Firefox folder in the Start menu, and select Profile Manager. If profile manager not present there then create a new shortcut of firefox.exe abd in the properties of that shortcut make sure target box having entry looks like the following format:
Quote:
"[driverletter]:\[directories]\firefox.exe" -ProfileManager
for example:
Quote:
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -ProfileManager
That shortcut will now open the profile manager, and allow you to create profiles and place them wherever you want.
