Re: How to Setup Rpc Over Https for Exchange 2003
First Check the System Requirements for RPC over HTTP in Exchange Server 2003
To use RPC over HTTP, you must be running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 on the following computers:
All Exchange Server 2003 servers that clients Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Access using RPC over HTTP, such as servers mailbox and public folder servers.
All front-end servers to Exchange Server 2003 act as RPC proxy servers.
All global catalog servers used by Outlook 2003 clients and Exchange Server 2003 server (configured to use RPC over HTTP).
These servers must be able to use the RPC update that allows you to use RPC over HTTP. Windows Server 2003 and later versions have a version of the file rpcrt4.dll which may include RPC updated. Even if the client does not access directly to the global catalog server, the RPC request initiated from the client computer is not changed when passing from the client computer with Exchange Server and then the global catalog server. The global catalog server must be able to use the RPC protocol that updated the client computer uses.
You must install Exchange Server 2003 on all Exchange servers that the RPC proxy server uses.

On your desktop, your can test your RPC connection over HTTP:
Close your Outlook client
Start and then Run
Type the following command: outlook.exe / rpcdiag
A window should open with you information on the connection type client / server.
