Netscape 6:01 : Error with GMX and SMTP login
Hello,
I have several mail folders (for the whole family) and the I had hoped that when Netscape 6:01 retrieve the mail for each family member is deleted. What is true. I must now no longer (as in Netsc 4.5) and Netscape each end again with a new profile.
So far so good.
But when sending from different folders, I get now an error: (one way or similar) it is not possible to log in and retrieve mail, and I can
only send.
But where do you please login to SMTP with each mail folder?

I guess it must be somewhere in the mail client an attitude, which some SMTP after POP or similar means. It is then before sending server running. As far as my experience has such a function of each current mail program.

Re: Netscape 6:01 : Error with GMX and SMTP login
that is the question: Where do I select the Netscape 6:01 Outgoing Server?
When you create a new account's I get the message: pop.gmx.net than its main server [this is definitely wrong if at all: "mail.gmx.net"]
They also need multiple accounts for only a Outgoing Server. Normally select the Outgoing Server only for your main mail account.
What I do not know:
Agrees with the "Normally ...." even if I except for
GMX also have a mail account and access via T-Online?

under edit - preferences-mail - outgoing server (SMTP) is the advanced button. there can have multiple SMTP server set (if not everyone at gmx is) there may also "edit" the username / password to be defined.
So if multiple accounts on mail.gmx.net run, so you can Several gmx-smtp-server (with add) Creating, each with a different user / password. then can (unfortunately good luck because all SMTP server the same name) under mail preferences and relevant account (main entry) of the advanced button desired SMTP server can be selected.
I work with ns 6.0 6.01 and 6.1
