Re: upload bandwidth speed
To get the good bandwidth speed you need to have the healthy line that will allows you to upload and download any document to and from the internet, and basically your bandwidth uploading and downloading speed never be equal it would be 1:3 ratio or something like that respectively. but you will get the minimum uploading and in turn of little more downloading speed.you may download some software online which will provide you the max downloading speed to download any files.
Net Accelerator is a Internet speed booster that speeds up Web browsing, file downloading, emailing and online gaming dramatically. A much cheaper alternative to DSL or cable modems, Modem Booster can boost average Internet speed by 10-50% on the average and up to 300% on the extreme, making a 56k blaze like a DSL modem.

Re: upload bandwidth speed
I think you need a faster connection from your ISP. When you try to download from your FTP server, your upload speed gets limited. Let say if you have a 10mb / 512kb connection, then you can only download from your FTP at a maximum speed of 512kb.
