What is the server type of "Mail.com"?
Hi All,

My pc has window XP oprerating system. I have a problem regarding the my email account.
I am not able to find out the server type of my mail account "Mail.com". I tried of using outlook but it's not successful.

Please help me to sort-out this problem.

Hi friend,

For your kind information "Mail.com" service of the email enable the use of the servers i.e SMTP(Simple Mail transfer protocol) and POP3(Post office protocol) in the access of the mail-box of the "Mail.com" account.

For outgoing mail server use the SMTP and ISP(Internet service provider) mail servers. While for Incoming you have to select the POP3 mail server.

Please try this and let me know if you have any problem.

Hi,

Please note that "Mail.com" email account is "asholes".

Only if you are paying for the subscription, then only they will allow you to use the external outlook express and windows mail. I think this is the cause you are not able to find out the server type of the "Mail.com".

The "Mail.com" offers only POP3 mail i.e windows mail along with outlook express.

I recommend you to use "inbox.com". Because they provides access of pop3 with absolutely free account.

Hi friends,

To find out the type of "Mail.com" ,please make sure that you are having following setting :

Incoming Server setting:

1. Secure Authentication:- No check
2. POP3:- pop.mail.com
3. Port :-110
4. Secure Connection:- Never.

Outgoing Server setting:

1.Secure Authentication:- No check
2.SMTP:- smtp.mail.com
3.port :-25
4.Secure Connection:- Never
