Re: Yahoo blocking emails
What error you getting in delivery failed mail? Below is the help from the yahoo FAQ:
Yahoo! rarely outright rejects mail upon connection. If this is happening to your email, here are the common error messages you should be seeing in your SMTP logs:
553 VS99-IP1 deferred - see help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/defer/defer-02.html.
Please visit this page for assistance.
554 Message type not allowed. UP Email not accepted for policy reasons. Please visit /l/us/yahoo/mail/defer/defer-04.html [#4.16.3:120\.
Please visit this page for assistance.
If you see either 451 VS1-IP Excessive unknown recipients - possible Open Relay /l/us/yahoo/mail/spam/spam-18.html (#4.1.8) or
451 VS1-MF Excessive unknown recipients - possible Open Relay /l/us/yahoo/mail/spam/spam-18.html (#4.4.5)
Please visit our deprioritization page for more information.
If you do not see error messages similar to the above, then your emails are neither being blocked nor deprioritized. Listed below are other possible error messages you may be seeing and the steps you should take to address them:
554 delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account ({recipients'userid}@yahoo.com).
You should not retry the message and remove the email address from your list. The user does not exist.
554 delivery error: dd Sorry, your message to ({recipients'userid}@yahoo.com) cannot be delivered. This account is over quota.
You should not retry this message and move this user into a special queue. This queue can be periodically retried to determine if the user deletes enough mail to allow new mail to be delivered.
421 Resources temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.
The Yahoo! Mail MTAs are temporarily too busy. Your server should try to resend the message after a few minutes.
If you do not see these or similar error messages, you should see an SMTP confirmation code similar to "250 ok dirdel" that indicates your message has been delivered.

Re: Yahoo blocking emails
Recently Yahoo has started " extremely deprioritizing" almost every email that goes through their mail server. This is a way of attempting to block SPAM. Yahoo mail denies every delivery attempt of an email (451 Message temporarily deferred - 4.16.50) from deprioritized mail servers.
Since about October 16, 2006 they have been "overly aggressive" in blocking emails.
Yahoo! Mail has become more aggressive in its acceptance of SMTP connections and denies connections by IP address when these connections do not conform to Internet standard practices.
This results in people that have been sending email to the same person for the past 3+ years to suddenly not be able to send email. Even when the sender is "conforming to Internet standard practices.
How to fix the problem
Yahoo gives some basic "do these to fix the problem ":
Remove email addresses that bounce
Examine your retry policies
Pay attention to the responses from our SMTP servers
Don't send unsolicited email (duh!)
Provide a method of unsubscribing
Ensure your mail servers are not open relays

Re: Yahoo blocking emails
Its might possible that yahoo have banned the IP range . May be someone using the same mail server that you use may have been spamming and they temporarily blocked all messages from that server. You should concern your host to intercede with Yahoo, since they own the block.
