Call of Juarez: The Cartel crashes on startup
Well as the title of this particular thread what I wanted to discuss over here in this particular thread. I have installed Call of Juarez: The Cartel on the computer and it seems to be crashing when I am trying to launch the game on the computer. I am not able to find out why the above mentioned issue is happening. Any help to fix the matter of mine will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

To figure out the root cause of the problem I am asking following questions which you should answer. What is the system specification of the computer? What operating system does you running? Do you have installed all the necessary drivers on the computer? is there any error message on the computer of yours while playing? If so than you should post the same over here as well as the log file of the issue which you are getting on the computer of yours.

You will be able to fix the matter of yours by using following steps.

* You should look for the exe file of the game and you have to right click on the exe file of the game.
* From the Properties menu and you have to click on the compatibility. Now you select Windows XP SP3 from the Run this program in compatibility mode for.

Well looking at the problem which you have stated over here I am suggesting that you should simply go for the Control Panel from the Start menu of the Windows. Now you have to double click on the playback device. Now you have to simply click on the advanced tab and choose 16 bit , 48000Hz (DVD Quality).

Also you have to take care of the thing that is the firewall which you have installed on the computer should not blocking on the computer. you have to configure the firewall as well as security software so that the above mentioned issue should not persist on the computer of yours.

I think you need to install Microsoft Framework 3.5 and latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2008 and 2005 on the computer.

Looking at the matter I am suggesting that you should simply verify the integrity of the game cache.

* You should load Steam.
* Now you should go for the Library Section and right click on the same and go for Properties.
* You have to click on the Local files and go for the Verify the integrity of the cache and click on the same.

Once you have done the same you should see that the thing is working or not.

Do you have reinstalled DirectX as well as Graphic card drivers on the computer? if you have not done the same than you should reinstalled the graphic card drivers and DirectX. If there is no change in the situation than you should simply install the latest version of the graphic card drivers and DirectX on the computer of yours. you can get the same from the official website.

I am suggesting following thing which you should try to fix the matter of yours.

1. You have to go for the Control Panel and you have to launch the nvidia control panel.
2. Now you have to click on ‘On’ which is available next to ‘Vsync’
3. Now try the same and let me know whether it is working or not.

There could be bug issue associated with the game so you need to contact the developer of the game and file a bug report to them. The developer of the game will fix the bug issue and release the patch which you can download and install so that the issue cannot persist.
