Solid Mobile Phone: Cannot create direct show player

Cannot create direct show player
knock knock..!!

In my Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer web browsers, when I try to view steaming video, Mozilla tells me "cannot create directshow player." whereas IE just appears as black window with no error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled ceratin applications and programs, but the error remains..

can anyone help..!!

Well, it highly depends on the file format the streaming audio is being broadcasted in. The media applications on your computer like Real Medai Player, Windows Media player, Winamp and others can hijack the
format streaming/coming in. I would advice you to ensure that you have installed and configured correct player.

Are you using Windows Media Player (WMP) 10 ?? Because i was facing the same problem when I was using WMP 10. In order to get rid of the problem, I had to rollback to WMP 9 again. You can try the similar solution. Hope it works for you as well.

Have you tried resetting the settings for either Mozilla or Internet Explorer ?

Mozilla asks you to install a plugin, like a yellow bar at the top requesting to install something i.e. if you want to play Flash it asks you something along the lines of "Are you sure you want to install flash or do you want to install the flash plugin to be able to view flash "

Goto Start > Run > type "dxdiag" and run the direct x diagnostics to make sure that you dont get any errors related with direct x.
