Solid Mobile Phone: The Darkness II freezing

The Darkness II freezing
Recently I have installed The Darkness II on my computer. I had successful installation of the game on computer. However whenever I am trying to launch the game, it is getting frozen at starting save screen. Even pressing of Escape keys did not make any difference into the situation. if you are having any idea about the same then let me know about as early as possible. Thanks a lot in advance.

I think you will need to verify the integrity of the game cache. It consist of below mentioned steps.

* Launch Steam if it is already closed.
* From Steam you have to click on Library Section and right click on the game name.
* Click on Properties and click on Local Files tab.
* Now you have to look on verify the integrity of the game cache.

I think you have to turn off Anti-Aliasing option for this particular game.

You have to launch Nvidia Control Panel.

Now look for game options and simply turn off Anti-Aliasing.

Tell me whether above mentioned solution is working or not.

Also you should disable VSync and lower down all the graphic settings.

Another solution which I wanted to tell you over here.

1. Click on Start button and click on Run.
2. Enter msconfig in Run and press enter.
3. Click on Startup tab and click on Disable All button.
4. Now go for Service and simply check Hide all Microsoft services and click on Disable all button.
5. Finally click on Apply changes button and Press Ok.

If above mentioned solution did not seems to working than try the following.

* Launch Task Manger by Pressing Ctrl, Alt and Delete together.
* Right click on the exe file of the game in Process Tab.
* Here you have to set Priory to High.
* Now see that you have noticed any difference in the situation.

I am suspecting that some of the dll files might be corrupted on yours computer.

You should browse to \Steam\steamapps\common\ The Darkness II \bin folder and here you have to delete everything from that particular folder or you should rename bin_old.

Once you have done verify the integrity of gamecache on your computer.

Do you have installed any antivirus program installed on your computer? if so you should disable the same and see whether see that freezing issue is persisting. In case you found change in the situation then you should configure the antivirus program so that you cannot have the issue in the future.
