Download Aquabird Black Theme for Thunderbird
Aquabird Black is the Excellent Dark Theme for Thunderbird. There are other "dark" themes, or "black" themes for Thunderbird, so why be excited about Aquabird Black? Because Aquabird Black, and it's Firefox equivalent, Aquatint Black, are UNIQUE. This background, together with the beautiful aqua icon set, and the aqua images used for hovering over the Menu bar selections, make for a stunning combination. Hence, I would hope that the author does NOT use more black in this theme, or less aqua as a couple of people have suggested. Doing so would make this theme "just another" black theme.

In earlier version of Aquabird Black a 9, due to some rough edges, as stated in the Discussion section on this same page. However, the author has proven himself as a diligent caretaker, as evidenced by his fine tuning of the Aquatint theme for Firefox. As such, with some fine tuning here, this theme is well on it's way to a 10.

BloodThunder 1.0.1 is also a good theme, however some of the text in tool bars, and text windows, is black on black making reading difficult. Perhaps a lighter gray or blue text for these items would be more appropriate. Thanks.

BlackJapan 1.15 includes a number of little tidy-ups made, custom toolbar dividers added, print-review arrows added (had missed those), unsecure icon restored to statusbar, some of the small toolbar buttons cleaned up, darkened the text in the urlbar for easier reading. This add-on is for older versions of Firefox.
