Reverting to IE7
One of my friend is using Internet Explorer 8 since its released and is not comfortable with this browser, due to its frequent crashing and all. His operating system is Windows XP. He tried many things to make it perfect but still the problem occurs. Now he wants to revert back to the previous version that is Internet Explorer 7. Is there any simple way of reverting back to IE7 ?

Re: Reverting to IE7
Its very simple process. To uninstall Internet Explorer 8 and revert to IE 7, go through this simple steps:-
Close all programs.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Click Add or Remove Programs.
In the list of currently installed programs, click Windows Internet Explorer 8, and then click Remove.
Follow the instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 8.
When the uninstall program is finished, restart your computer.
If Internet Explorer 8 does not appear in the list of installed updates than :
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type Cmd.exe, and then press ENTER.
Right-click inside the Cmd.exe window and paste this command:
Quote:
%windir%\ie8\spuninst\spuninst.exe
Press ENTER to uninstall Internet Explorer 8.
When the uninstall program is finished, restart your computer.

Once you have success fully uninstalled the IE8 now to make sure you are reverted to IE 7, follow this steps:-
After you restart your computer, open Internet Explorer.
Click About Internet Explorer on the Help menu. If Internet Explorer 6 or 7 appears in the About Internet Explorer dialog box, then you are done.

Re: Reverting to IE7
To determine whether a performance issue or an error message is caused by configuration settings, reset Internet Explorer 7 to its default configuration.
Open Internet Explorer 7.
Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab.
Under Reset Internet Explorer Settings, click Reset.
