Is Legend of Grimrock having some options for lower detail graphics in old pc
I am keen to play this game , but it appears that this game seems to be bit more graphics oriented and there are less chances I can hope to run this on my laptop with 1.6Ghz intel dualcore, along with an 512mb Geforce Go 7900 GS , I have this configurations on my Acer gaming-laptop. So is there any possibility that I will be able to play this game on my laptop as my graphics levels are low and I am able to play some few games with high resolutions. So as I am interested to purchase this one, it could be better if you confirmed whether this game is playable with my current configurations or not. So if that does not support my system requirements , I will try with some other requirements or increase my options to play this game. Guys, also state minimum requirements with which I will be able to play this game on my laptop. Is it right that the minimum requirements for this game are 2.0Ghz Intel dualcore. Or if I am able to play this game with my current requirements do I need to alter my monitor settings such as resolution or something like that.

First of all , I will state some of the minimum requirements which are minimum is a DX9 graphics card and Windows XP. Legend Of Grimrock is a homage to the overwhelming reminiscence drenched RPGs of the early 1990s. Eye of the Beholder along with Ultima Underworld. You are able to only turn ninety degrees at a time to discover as well as underground maze of dungeons. This is the nearby kind of thing on PC to a Dungeon Crawler.I am little amazed by the Legend Of Grimrock System Requirements. I was expecting them to be a lot minor in addition to will be concerned in hearing what gamers have to speak about it though, the visuals certain appear quite pretty.
Minimum System Requirements for Legend Of Grimrock
CPU: Dual Core 2GHz Intel or 2.8GHz AMD
HDD: 1GB of free hard disk space
RAM: 2GB
OS: Windows XP Service Pack 3
GPU: ATI Radeon X1600 otherwise NVIDIA GeForce 7600 or improved. Minimum supported resolutions 1280×720 as well as 1024×768.
DX: 9.0c
Recommended System Requirements for Legend Of Grimrock
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
RAM: 4GB
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 2900 or NVIDIA GeForce 8800 or better (512MB graphics memory or more. Shader Model 3.0 needs to be supported)
CPU: Quad Core 2.66GHz Intel or 3.2GHz AMD.

Re: Is Legend of Grimrock having some options for lower detail graphics in old pc
I have ended this game and the last two levels need huge GPU power. I am with GeForce GT 540M and this is barely breathing with the many torches as well as special effects. The rooms were also occupied of monsters which wasn't serving either. I just remembered the Sims 2 game when there was too many Sims on a place. I am not knowing for some reason, I had 60 steady FPS on the first 4/6 levels but away from that and on a latest scenario, they dropped to 40-50 and on the most recent two levels 20-40 at the maximum settings. I am consequently removing the GD Adjusted settings, because the released system requirements appears quite precise. Changing the settings to intermediate did not improve the FPS a lot.The last boss is incredible and the story is really quite erratic.

I with the same concern as my requirements were too minimum and I doubt whether this would play or not. Talking to them , it came into notice and say that it was not possible for them to test the hardware combinations as their resources were quite limited . so there are also however quite a few settings which they can lower. Along with it they suggested to test with the old compatibility test and then see how it runs. So I think , you should also make an attempt with running with the old compatibility test and see yourself whether the game supports your Pc or your system.

Yes, the previous post says it correct, but some statistics state that the test version is no longer optimal and you are not able to run old compatibility test as it is no longer available for download. But later when I made some search for the compatibility test , I was able to test the same and the official site provides it. It also came into my appearance that there are only issues with some old graphics cards and it seems like the game is working rather nicely in general. So there are many people who have not performed some hardware test and the game works great in their case. Some also get the game work on the 1440 resolution. So there is no doubt that the game will tend to play great with higher resolution than 1440 .
