Netscape (4.6) - Attachment does not open
Dear People,

Since few days I have problems with Netscape (4.6):
1) the attachment in the e-mails will not open
2) Click on the links of any remains ineffective Homepage
3) when double-clicking the HTML file in Microsoft Explorer remains unchanged.
I use the Interent Explorer, everything works normally.
Until a few days ago everything was ok
Because I depended on Netscape, I ask for advice

Hi,

a solution, I have not, but check it out the following:

in MS Explorer, a html file to activate
Shift key and the file with the right mouse button - then you get a broader context
Choose "open with" ... then you can in the following list, an application to open the file.
Maybe he is right?

hi,

For Attachment in Netscape (4.6), follow the below steps :
Address a new message to your partner and give it the subject Bookmarks
Select Attach from the File menu and then selectFile from the sub-menu.
In the dialog box that appears, click the Up One Level icon (the folder with the up arrow) until Look in: displays Netscape.
Double-click the Users and then double-click default.
Select bookmark.htm. Click Open. The file is now attached and ready to be sent. In the body of the message type Here are those bookmarks you wanted.
Send this to your neighbor, wait a few moments and look in your inbox for a message from him/her. Notice the paper-clip in the top of the message if you look below you will see that the attachment was opened in the e-mail window. You can now click on any of the links in the list of bookmarks and the pages will load automatically.
If the message contained a word processing document, a warning will appear telling you about viruses that can appear in attachments. Clicking Open would load the file's application and allow you to view the file.

If you wish to attach a file to an e-mail message such as a word processing document or a picture:
Prepare to send a message as above.
Click on Attach icon in the toolbar.
Select File from the sub menu.
Choose the file you wish to send from the Window displayed and click the button.

NOTE: Be sure to indicate in the body of your e-mail the file type you're attaching so the recipient knows which program to view the attachment with. Make sure you use the default three letter extension for your documents. i.e.: ".doc" for Word documents. Netscape may have problems sending the file if you substitute say ".txt" for ".doc".
