Re: What is Web Mail?
The webmail is basically a mail accessible from anywhere. This means we do not need to install any email client to use (eg Outlook Express). Simply type in the website address of the webmail service that we use in the browser you normally use, enter the user name and password and you're done, we will be in the webmail.

Re: What is Web Mail?
WEBMAIL is a computer application used as email client and allows access and manage our emails via an online interface from our Internet browser.
Through our Webmail can check our email, compose new emails, view our e-mails sent, uselessly remove old emails ... all from any computer with internet connection.
Another method to check the mail without using the Webmail service can be directly from a mail client installed locally on your computer, using programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird or Evolution (Linux operating systems).

Re: What is Web Mail?
It uses a technology called IMAP, which allows you to read and organize their messages into folders without actually downloading the information to your PC. When you leave your Webmail your emails continue to reside on the server. This feature allows you to read your email from any Internet-connected computer without having to leave private messages from email on another computer. When you delete an email in the webmail, the message will be moved to the trash folder (trash). That way, if you accidentally deleted a message, you can always find in that folder. If you delete the message in the spam folder (trash) will be removed permanently. To remove all deleted messages from the server, click on the Trash icon to the right of the spam folder (trash).
